Right to Play Gala

Saturday, January 26th

We want you to join us for a spirited evening as we honor children and champion play.

The Right to Play Gala will begin with a celebration at the Children’s Museum of  Tacoma. Let your imagination soar as you stroll the playscapes, chance the raffle, and win some goods-all to elevate early learning.

Then follow us on a playful parade to the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. The evening will conclude with a locally sourced meal and philanthropic bidding to raise awareness on the importance of quality childhood experiences.

You have a hand in ensuring every child in our community has the right to play. Play holds a natural and vital role for growth and well-being. We want you to stand for the success of all young children. We need you to partner with the Museum to sustain our outreach services to the community within Pierce County.

Planning for the Gala:
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Museum.  Parking is limited and Lyft or Uber is encouraged.

At 6:35 we will move from the Children's Museum to the Convention Center.  While most guests choose to check-in at the Museum, you may also check in at the Convention Center if you arrive after 6:35 p.m.

One frequently asked question is "what should I wear?"  Most guests choose to wear cocktail attire in bright, fun colors.  This year's theme is superhero and you are encouraged to add a little superpower to your outfit if desired.  Masks and capes will be available for purchase at the event.
About the Right to Play Gala
The Right to Play Gala is an annual dinner and auction that raises critical funds for the Children’s Museum of Tacoma. The Museum is dedicated to removing all barriers for children and their families to experience quality early learning through Pay As You Will admission and other free programming throughout Pierce County.  You can be a leading voice in promoting the value of play in early childhood development.  We invite you to partner with us to honor children and champion play!
